WebSpider Blog http://www.webspiderblog.com Answers to WebSpider.com questions and knowledgebase. Sat, 11 Jul 2009 17:28:12 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.6.2 en Selling E-books on EBAY! http://www.webspiderblog.com/archives/29 http://www.webspiderblog.com/archives/29#comments Thu, 07 May 2009 08:16:19 +0000 webspider http://www.webspiderblog.com/?p=29 Ok, if you would like to sell E-Books on ebay we have provided some addition capabilities to assist sellers. I considered doing a whole tutorial video about this; but for something so simple I decided not to. If you have not yet done so, please go here: http://www.webspiderblog.com/videos and see the video titled: “How to set up downloadable goods on your web store:” Have you done it yet? Ok, good! :) Now, there are only a couple things you need to check that are vital to this feature fully working.
1. Make sure the item name is the EXACT same as it is in Ebay.
2. Make sure your paypal Email address that’s receiving payments matches the email address inside your webspider control panel.
2. Go to paypal and set these settings:
Go to My Account -> Profile -> Website Payment Preferences
Set your return URL to: http://webspider.com/WebStoreThankYou.aspx?webstore=YourWebStoreNameHere
That’s it!
Now, when somebody makes a successful purchase of an ebook, they will automatically receive and email with a download link. If you have problems please re-watch the video and make sure you got all the steps.

Beta version of free E-Commerce webstores geared towards non-computer gurus. http://www.webspiderblog.com/archives/3 http://www.webspiderblog.com/archives/3#comments Wed, 22 Oct 2008 11:23:14 +0000 admin http://www.webspiderblog.com/?p=3 I have made my living as a web programmer and found myself doing repetitive tasks continuously throughout my years as a programmer. Let’s face it, standard users shouldn’t have to learn how to use things such as Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, SEO, Shopping carts, etc.

People have normal jobs with normal lives and have enough added stress as is. So, I have taken out the steps for the public and crammed them into one package with nothing more required than pointing and clicking (registration is required). ALL the SEO, HTML, Blah blah blah is taken care of. This blog is being published for an attempt to communicate DIRECTLY with the pubic on what THEY would like to see in the web stores.

Yes, I already have a huge “to do” list, and please keep in mind that although this revolutionary website is fully functional there may be bugs that I may or may not be aware of. I’m depending on YOU the people to report these to me. No, I do not expect the public to run around like my little pet monkeys and report everything to me. All I expect is for the current and future store owners to tell me what errors to fix and what they are missing. I will put those at the top of my “to do list”. Ever try and hire a programming company to manually do this work for you? It costs a lot of deniro! And, I’m again, I’m offering this to the public for free!

Why would I do this?
Reason 1: If I develop a tool or fix an error once, i will never have to be done again. The new fix will be in there in the future for all users.
Reason 2: I NO LONGER HAVE TO DEVELOP WEBSITES FROM SCRATCH ANYMORE. Yes, I am tired of statically reprogramming the same stuff over and over again. So, let’s be selfish together…. You get something for free, and I get my pretty little website. Let’s make and some some money.

You don’t have a website yet???
Well, I hate you. So leave now. Or, you could always go here to sign up for a webstore and I’ll forget you ever said that :)It’s literally about a 10 step (not forms, just clicking buttons) process that will have your webstore together in no less than 5 minutes. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. So, why are still reading this, click here to sign up before I melt your computer!!! Just joking :)
