Monthly Updates

7/10/09

We have made many improvements this month on our website, we will review each of them below to make we keep our current users up to date. For those that have not yet done so, we have began to offer free E-Commerce websites to the public. There are no trials or credit cards needed, so sign up today at www.WebSpider.com.
• WebStore users can now add their own Google Adsense code to replace our own. We added this feature at the great suggestion by Jason Engelken of Entrepreneur.com. Thanks for the feedback :)
• We recognized that a lot of current website owners had no way of implementing their products into our search engine with ought first joining an Affiliate Program. Although we believe greatly in affiliate networking we understand this may be undesirable by a lot of people. As a resolution we have introduced a Cost Per Click (CPC) program directly into WebSpider. You do have to pay for this program, but the minimum bid is only .01. Registration is the only thing necessary (you do not need a “webstore” set up on our site. If you are interested in this, you can register here: www.webspider.com/Registration.aspx and find the option inside of your control panel to upload a feed for CPC.
• Our algorithms for page submission to Google have changed. We now base page importance regarding submission based on how active your website is on our servers. Basically, the more active it is, the more traffic we will push to it.
• The basic control panel when you sign into your account at www.WebSpider.com has changed for easier navagation. We had so many different features coming in that we believed it was getting to be too confusing for common users to use. To get to manage your website, you can always go to Webspider.com/Mywebstorename and click on “manage my webstore”. Or, you can go to the webspider user control panel and click on “Manage my website”
Summary: This month was a busy one with vast improvements. If you have set up a store in the past, you may want to take another look at the new features implemented.
